Carrying self-defense items like brass knuckles will soon be allowed in Texas.  They were made illegal to possess in 1918, and even those key chain brass knuckles that are shaped like cats, equipped with the sharp knives as ears, will be allowed.  The law was viewed by many as being antiquated, so it will soon be legal to have the weapon.  It will go into effect on September 1st of this year.
