T.J. Osborne is the front man for country group Brothers Osborne, he’s 36 – and he’s gay. He says his family and close group of friends has known for years, but, now it’s time for everyone to know.
He told TIME Magazine “I’m very comfortable being gay, I find myself being guarded for not wanting to talk about something that I personally don’t have a problem with. That feels so strange.”

With T.J, coming out this makes him the only openly gay country artist signed to a major record label, but, he’s not the only openly gay country star. Chely Wright, Brandi Carlile, Billy Gilman and masked cowboy Orville Peck have also come out in recent years; as did 90’s country star Ty Herndon.
