Today (September 6th) is National Coffee Ice Cream Day!

According to “National Day Calendar” Howard Johnson Hotel’s and Restaurants began serving coffee ice cream in the 1960’s and made it famous, but, it’s been around since the early 1900’s – it appears in a 1919 cookbook and consisted of cream, crushed ice and coffee syrup.
