History of Peeps, a popular candy produced by the American company Just Born. Peeps were originally introduced in 1953 when Just Born acquired the Rodda Candy Company and its handmade marshmallow chick line.

Bob Born, son of Sam Born, led the automation of the marshmallow creation process and removed the wings on each Peep to increase mass production.

Peeps are made from a traditional recipe containing granulated sugar, liquid sugar, corn syrup, gelatin, and vanilla extract, and come in a variety of colors and shapes.

Over the years, new flavors and product lines, such as lip balm and fashion accessories, have been introduced to appeal to Peeps lovers.
