Jet-Puffed, famous for their candy corn and bunnymallow seasonal treats, has launched a new limited-edition marshmallow line that changes colors when exposed to heat.

The brand aims to elevate bonfire season even further after last year’s glow-in-the-dark packaging launch. While the secret ingredient and mechanics remain undisclosed, we now know that pink marshmallows will turn orange, and blue ones will turn green, after 10 seconds of exposure to a flame.

Megan Sommerdyke of the Jet-Puffed team explained that the move to create color-changing foods and beverages is part of a growing trend that the brand is eager to lean into, bringing fans new and exciting ways to enjoy their puffy marshmallows.

The color-changing marshmallows are now available in grocery stores nationwide for $2.99 until September, or the end of s’more season.
