As long as I’ve been alive… the 1909 Honus Wagner baseball card has been the most expensive card ever. But, not anymore! A 2009 MIKE TROUT baseball card set a record on Saturday, becoming the highest-selling sports card of all time, at a price of $3,936,000. The Trout card is “one-of-a-kind”.  It was a mint condition rookie card, with a certified autograph.  The auction started last month with an opening bid of $1 million. The seller seems to have made a significant profit.  The card reportedly sold for $400,000 on eBay two years ago.
