Born and reared in Shreveport/Bossier my entire life, I grew up on KRMD. I worked for KRMD back in the early 80’s, starting overnights and eventually working my way up to afternoon drive on KRMD-FM. Although I have worked many different formats over the years, Album Rock, Top 40, Adult Contemporary, I absolutely love KRMD. I’m proud to be associated with the Heritage Country station here in the Ark-La-Tex.
I have a strong passion for theatre, and have been part of the local stage for decades. Some of the roles I’ve played on stage include Oscar Madison in Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple; Tevye, in Fiddler on the Roof; Thenardier, in Les Miserables; Otto Frank, in The Diary of Anne Frank; and even The Cowardly Lion, in the Wizard of Oz, to name but a few.
You may have seen me on the big screen too — I had roles in movies like “Playing for Keeps” with Gerard Butler, Stephen King’s The Mist, & TNT’s Memphis Beat; as well as several short films over the years with the Louisiana Film Prize.
Married for over 35 years to my wife Dena, we have two grown children. Our son Casey is a Sous Chef on Oahu in Hawaii. And our daughter Micah is a gas-scheduler for an oil & gas company in Dallas Texas. If I’m not on stage or on the radio, you’ll probably find me at home doing yard work, dinner with family and friends, or taking a walk around the neighborhood with my dogs Opie, Lola and Sunny.
