Those who know me, know I absolutely love Texas Hold ‘Em Poker. It’s been a passion of mine since long before I was of age to play poker for real. Now, I’m not any good at it, but I do thoroughly enjoy playing for hours on end whenever I get the chance.
There’s no better poker room within driving distance of Shreveport-Bossier than the poker room at Bally’s Casino located on the banks of the Red River in downtown Shreveport. Bally’s (formerly El Dorado) has an upgraded poker room located on their third floor, and is the only poker room in Shreveport-Bossier to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This weekend, the staff at Bally’s will be working overtime as they host the biggest poker tournament in our neck of the woods since 2019. These tournaments are a true rarity for the Ark-La-Tex so it’s always excited when a tour rolls through town. You’ll see big names in the poker world descend upon Shreveport this weekend, mixing it up with hundreds and hundreds of average Joe’s, all with an equal shot at the top prize.
